Chief Master Sergeant Leon O. Calloway is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 22d Air Refueling Wing, McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas., one of the Air Force's three core tanker wings. The wing provides all-weather, in-flight aerial refueling for U.S. and allied military aircraft and airlift for Global Reach projection of troops, equipment and supplies worldwide. In his position, he advises the 22d Air Refueling Wing Commander on the health, morale, welfare, mission effectiveness, and proper utilization of the more than 2,400 enlisted personnel assigned to five organizations comprised of 17 squadrons, 14 wing staff agencies, two detachments and one geographically separated unit. McConnell AFB hosts the Air Force Reserve's 931st Air Refueling Wing and the Air National Guard's 184th Intelligence Wing.

Chief Calloway enlisted in the Air Force in September 1996. In January 1997, he graduated from the Electrical Systems Specialist Course at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. He has served in various Civil Engineer leadership positions, as well as Additional Duty First Sergeant, Squadron Training Manager and Civil Engineer Deployment Manager. His assignments include locations in Texas, New Mexico, Ohio and Alaska. He has deployed to various locations in direct support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, NEW DAWN and Joint Task Force HORN OF AFRICA.
