FAQ's

Q1. What is Leadership Pathways?

A1. Leadership Pathways is a program designed to encourage active duty, DoD Civilians and family members to participate in wing programs and activities that strengthen individual, family and unit resilience based on the "Four Domains of Fitness" - Mental, Physical, Social and Spiritual. It consists of classes and programs offered by base helping agencies and other installation approved sources that benefit the community.

The goal of Leadership Pathways is to help our Airmen, DoD civilians and family members become more resilient and better-equipped to deal with the rigors of military life. This is accomplished by integrating Comprehensive Airmen Fitness-centered courses into the curriculum. The courses will encourage proactive learning in a classroom environment that lead to building better leaders and strong communities.

Q2. What classes/courses are being offered?

A2. The most up-to-date course catalog is posted on this webpage. The catalog contains the class descriptions and points of contact for each course. If you would like to request a particular course that is not offered, contact the Community Support Coordinator.

Q3. How do I sign up for a class?

A3. The Leadership Pathways catalog can be viewed by clicking on the Leadership Pathways button. Once you have identified a class you are interested in, visit the 22nd Air Refueling Wing SharePoint and click on MAFB Leadership Pathways or if you do not have CAC access, make contact with the class instructor via telephone or email to register for the class. You will receive an email from the instructor 72 hours prior to the class start date to verify your planned attendance.

Q4. What kind of recognition or award do I receive for participating in Leadership Pathways?

A4. The biggest reward that Leadership Pathways will give you is one that may not be tangible. The program and its classes will give you tools to tackle issues or challenges in every facet of your life, helping you become more resilient and better-equipped to deal with the rigors of military life.
McConnell will implement a system to incentivize completion of our Leadership Pathways classes.

Credits will be awarded based on completion of a class/workshop/seminar/event using assigned credit values. Any active duty member who completes 45 hours (30 core and 15 elective) of Leadership Pathways classes will be awarded a certificate signed by the 22nd Air Refueling Wing commander and the 22nd ARW command chief. Additionally, the individual will be authorized to take a one day pass when manning at the unit allows. Additionally, any family member that completes any combination of 45 hours will receive a certificate signed by the wing leadership as well as a $25 gift card recognizing their accomplishment.
