SERE specialists teach McConnell Airmen

MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. --  

Tech. Sgt. Joseph Rheaume and Staff Sgt. Charles Millison, 22nd Operations Support Squadron survival, evasion, resistance and escape specialists, taught Airmen a Level 1 Modern Army Combatives training course, July 20, 2010, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan.

The course is designed to instill confidence in the trainees' ability to defend themselves, attack and subdue an enemy and develop mental toughness. The course also helps instill warrior ethos and provide Airmen with a basic set of unarmed combat skills. The course lasts five days and is held quarterly.
