McConnell Air Force Base would like to determine if there is sufficient public interest in establishing a Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) for the installation's Environmental Restoration Program.

The RAB would provide input and make recommendations to the base regarding on-going and proposed environmental restoration projects.

Types of Environmental Restoration Program projects the RAB would review include, but are not limited to, Resource. Conservation and Recovery Act Facility Assessments, RCRA Facility Investigations, Corrective Measures Studies, Corrective Measures Implementation, Interim Remedial Actions, Long-Term Groundwater Monitoring, Interim Measures Performance Monitoring, Statement of Basis, Site Closeout, and various types of work plans, permits, and any emerging contaminant issues.

The RAB would be expected to meet two to four times per year at McConnell AFB. The RAB will only be established if there is significant public support and participation.

Persons interested in participating in the proposed RAB should contact Cole Knight, ERP program manager, at (316) 759-3887, or via email at cole.knight@us.af.mil.
