22nd Medical Operations Support Squadron Airman earns spotlight performer

MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- As a spotlight performer, individuals are chosen by leadership for demonstrating the Air Force's Core Values: Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do.

Airman 1st Class Deanna Willis, 22nd Medical Operations Squadron aerospace medical technician, was selected as the spotlight performer for the week of Oct. 5 through 11.

Willis, a Charleston, South Carolina native, joined the Air Force in January 2013 and has been a member of Team McConnell since September 2013.

As an aerospace medical technician, Willis is responsible for all things relating to patient care. When she's not on duty, she enjoys fishing, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

"Since arriving, she has demonstrated a take-charge attitude that gets tasks done quickly and efficiently," said Tech. Sgt. Chad Pease, 22nd MDOS aerospace medical technician. "She has taken on several clinic and off base programs, such as leading her team in the absence of her NCO in charge. She is also a point of contact for a hospice program.  She sets up training and coordinates visits for volunteers to support terminally ill veterans."
