Hydraulics Airmen enter the KC-135 "hellhole"

Staff Sgt. Logan Schiermeyer, 22nd Maintenance Squadron hydraulics systems craftsman, removes a boom hoist gear box from a KC-135 Stratotanker during an isochronal inspection Dec. 2, 2020, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. The gear box is maintained each isochronal inspection, which occurs every two years.
