Colonel MICHAEL L. “BOZ” BOSWELL

Col Michael L. Boswell is the Director of Customer Operations Directorate at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Energy, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He is responsible for providing customer relations management for the worldwide procurement, supply, and distribution of fuels for the DoD, combatant commands, federal, and joint agencies. He is charged with directing and managing the integration, development, implementation, and oversight of all customer relationship management activities and execution of the customer operations program in accordance with DLA strategic policy to provide comprehensive energy solutions in the most effective and efficient manner possible.

Col Boswell was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. He earned his Bachelor of Arts with honors from Auburn University at Montgomery and commissioned from Alabama State University in 2001. He holds three master’s degrees, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the Naval War College at Newport, Rhode Island (with honors) and the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, Washington, District of Columbia, and is an award-winning author with publications in several professional journals. Col Boswell is married to Katherine Boswell and he has three daughters, Kaia, Elena and Annalise, and three sons, Michael John, Alexander, and Cameron.
