Colonel MITCHELL K. FOY

Col. Mitchell K. Foy is Commander at 22nd Maintenance Group, McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, where he is responsible for over 1,200 officers, enlisted, and civilian members comprising 27 different Air Force specialty codes and oversees maintenance for 18 KC-135 Stratotankers and 22 KC-46 Pegasus aircraft with an associated value of $4.5 billion. Additionally, he is responsible for maintaining readiness to support deployments and contingency operations, as well as U.S. Strategic Command’s operational plans.

Colonel Foy commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps as a second lieutenant in May 2004 and holds a Master Maintenance Badge with maintenance and test experience on the C-130 E/H/J, U-2S, C-17, C-5, KC-10, KC-135, F-15C/D/E, C-208 aircraft, MQ-1/MQ-9 remotely piloted aircraft and Mi-17 Helicopter. He has deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, Operation INHERENT RESOLVE and Operation FREEDOMS SENTINEL.
