Volunteers needed for tax center

For the eighth year in a row, the McConnell Legal Office Tax Center will assist Airmen, dependents, retirees, and all eligible parties with filing their 2016 taxes this spring. The Tax Center provides critical volunteer-based tax assistance to our Airmen and their dependents free of charge.

Volunteers are a critical part of this program. The Tax Center is accepting volunteers through Jan. 8, 2017.

  • No prior experience necessary
  • Receive free and certified IRS tax training
  • Learn tax deductions and exemptions from the experts
  • Help other file their 2016 taxes
  • Meet other volunteers
  • Must be able to commit eight hours per week

Below are some important dates and information to remember:

2017 IRS training dates: Jan. 9 - 13 (must attend all week)

2017 tax center volunteer dates: Jan. 25 to April 17

2017 tax center hours: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
