MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. — The 22nd Medical Group pharmacy will undergo a change in its queuing system Dec. 11-15.

Due to the upgrade, processes in the pharmacy will change. All patients serviced will be required to utilize the queuing system. This will eliminate lines caused by those waiting to pick up prescriptions.

Benefits of the new system include allowing patients to receive a text message when a prescription is ready and to submit other health insurance information. Prescriptions dispensed will count toward the deductibles of patients with other health insurance, saving them money.

“Innovation in processes and technology such as this will initially cause delays as patients and employees become accustomed to novel systems,” said Maj. Pedro Colon, 22nd MDG pharmacy flight commander. “We appreciate your understanding in this matter and assure you we will do everything we can to mitigate any delays or disruptions.”

Please contact the pharmacy at 316-759-5277 with any questions.
