MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. – The Air Force Surgeon General recently presented the 22nd Medical Group with the Air Force Medical Service Superior Access to Care Award in Leesburg, Virginia at the annual Senior Leader Workshop.

The 22d Medical Group was one of 12 medical treatment facilities that made significant access to care improvements over the last year. Specifically, the 22nd Medical Group improved acute access 45 percent from June 2016 to May 2017.

"The 22nd ARW Tanker Medics worked extremely hard to streamline processes and meet the demand of our patients,” said Col. Jason Eitutis, 22nd MDG commander. “This recognition is a direct result of the entire tanker medic team's commitment to delivering trusted care to all our beneficiaries."
