Free 'Rock Through the Ages' concert

The Kansas Army National Guard, 35th Infantry Division Band will perform a free concert, "Rock Through the Ages," here June 25.

The concert is scheduled to begin at noon at the Robert J. Dole Community Center Ballroom.

The family oriented show will progress through musical hits with a multitude of styles from the 1960's to the present.

"The community center is excited to host the Kansas Army National Guard 35th Infantry Division band," said Fe Vorderlandwehr, the 22nd Force Support Squadron community center director here. "They are a talented group of musicians. Team McConnell is in for a real treat."

The band has performed throughout the Midwest, East Coast and internationally.

All band members are part-time citizen soldiers who come from a variety of different career fields.
