Continuing a 57 year tradition of switching their wrenches and keyboards with microphones, the Air Force Tops In Blue is offering a free night of entertainment March 4, 2010, at the Orpheum Theatre, in downtown Wichita, Kan.

Tops In Blue is the Air Force's official entertainment group, comprised of active duty Airmen from a variety of career specialties, who perform for the world. The visit to Wichita is one of 120 locations including bases throughout the U.S., Iraq, Qatar, Afghanistan, Japan and many more places.

"Tops In Blue is fantastic entertainment that is fun for all ages," said Fe Vorderlandwehr, 22nd Force Support Squadron Robert J. Dole Community Center director. "You also can't beat the price - free. We would love to pack the Orpheum Theater and show the Tops In Blue cast that they are appreciated and welcome in Kansas."

The performance at the Orpheum will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the doors opening at 7 p.m. The tour's theme is "We Believe," a celebration of the magic of love and strength of family.

According to the Tops In Blue press release, This year's Tops In Blue team is indeed a reflection of the best of the best. They are an elite group of the most talented non-professional entertainers from the Air Force.

Throughout the show, the Airmen will perform today's hits from Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder's rhythm and blues, the swinging sounds of Michael Buble and much more.

"The Tops In Blue team is made up of extraordinary individuals with both talent and integrity," said Mrs. Vorderlandwehr. "They represent the Air Force with dignity and are true ambassadors of freedom."
