The Fitness Assessment Cell completed a two month remodeling project, Nov 19, 2010.

The $25,000 remodel was completed with support from the 22nd Civil Engineer Squadron and contractors to support Ready Airmen.

"The biggest reason behind the remodel was to present a professional environment to perform fitness tests," said Bill Hageman, 22nd Force Support Squadron McConnell fitness center director. "We already have the best FAC staff members and the most concise testing procedures. We just needed a facility upgrade to finish out the entire operation."

In order to present that professional environment, the offices were given new glass doors, a privacy room for waist measurements, a digital clock for timing runners and many more visual improvements.

"With the help of the 22nd CES, the appearance of our office has definitely improved," said Anthony Digregorio, 22nd FSS test administrator.

A better appearance for the FAC is just the beginning.

"The new office allows us to keep a more streamlined process by performing all weight, height and taping in one centralized location," said Mr. Digregorio. "The remodeling will also increase the quality of service we give to Airmen that have been evaluated."

McConnell's FAC was established in January 2010, six months earlier than the scheduled July 2010 establishment date, because of the new Air Force Physical Training standards. Since the FAC began testing, it has evaluated approximately 5,150 Airmen.
