Sergeant Nelson was chosen as the winner because of her quality of writing for this quarter’s essay topic, “If you are non-deployable, should you be able to stay in the Air Force?” The scholarship is presented each quarter to the winner of the essay contest and is open to all active-duty military, grades E-1 through E-6.
