Tops In Blue is headed for Wichita, Kan. and is scheduled to perform at the Orpheum Theater, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Tops In Blue performers are active-duty Airmen from diverse career fields who have competed against talented servicemembers Air Force-wide to be a part of the 30-member entertainment team.

Through music, dance and comedy, Tops In Blue is scheduled to provide 90 minutes of entertainment to those who attend the show.

The "2009" Tops In Blue season actually ends in March 2010. This season's theme is, "To Dream," and the show is geared toward expressing how America is a place where dreams really can come true, according to the Tops In Blue Web site at www.topsinblue.com.

"Tops In Blue is a high energy concert that is fun for everyone," said Stacy Mayou, 22nd Force Support Squadron marketing director.

During the show, audience members travel through time as entertainers take them on a journey of dreams old and new with songs from different eras.

"Tops In Blue is a truly feel good show that promotes the Air Force and its proud tradition," said Mrs. Mayou. "We hope the public comes away with a sense of pride in the United States and the Air Force."

One local community member and long-standing base supporter had good things to say to about last year's Tops in Blue performance at the Orpheum Theater, something she said she feels the public should not pass up this year.

"It's one of the best kept secrets the community is not aware of," said Rael Hodgson. "It's a fabulous show, it's free and is such a rare opportunity to see. We are just so fortunate Tops in Blue is coming to Wichita because not everyone gets to experience this.

"We had a packed house last time and we want to pack the house again," Ms. Hodgson said. "Another packed house will show our support."

Tops In Blue 2009 keeps up more than 55 years of touring tradition by visiting all bases throughout the U.S. and more than 25 foreign countries. Its aggressive tour schedule spans more than 120 locations and includes entertaining deployed troops in various locations in Southwest Asia.
