McConnell to host Big Brothers/Big Sisters event

MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- McConnell Air Force Base is hosting the Big Brothers/Big Sisters 'Big for an Afternoon' event July 24. The event is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. and will continue until 5:30 p.m. More than 100 children will be paired up with Team McConnell members on Friday for activities, pizza and friendship. Planned activities include a KC-135 static display, a fire truck demonstration, an interactive explosive ordnance robot, and recreational events. McConnell AFB is one the largest supporters of Big Brothers/Big Sisters in Sedgwick County.
