McConnell Airmen receive non judicial punishment

Non judicial punishment, also known as an Article 15 punishment, provides commanders with an essential and prompt means of maintaining good order and discipline and promotes positive behavior changes in service members without the stigma of a court-martial conviction. Several McConnell Airmen received Article 15s April 11 - May 31. Punishment is determined on a case by case basis.

- An Airman 1st Class from the 22nd Maintenance Squadron was drinking under age. He received an immediate reduction to Airman, suspended forfeitures of $366.00 pay per month for two months, restriction to base for 30 days, and a reprimand.

- An Airman 1st Class from the 22nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron made a false official statement and willfully damaged his common access card by altering his birth date. He received an immediate reduction to the grade of Airman, suspended forfeitures of $784.00 pay per month for one month, 15 days extra duty, and a reprimand.

- An Airman 1st Class from the 22nd Logistics Readiness Squadron failed to report for duty at her appointed time. She received a suspended reduction to the grade of Airman and ten days extra duty. On May 11, without authority, she failed again to report for duty at her appointed time, therefore the portion of the suspended reduction was vacated.

- An Airman from the 22nd Civil Engineer Squadron consumed alcohol while under the age of 21 and operated a vehicle while drunk. He received an immediate reduction to Airman Basic and suspended forfeitures of $699.00 pay per month for two months.

- A Technical Sergeant from the 22nd Medical Operations Squadron operated a vehicle while drunk. He received an immediate reduction to Staff Sergeant, suspended forfeiture of $1,405.00 pay per month for two months, and a reprimand.

- An Airman 1st Class from the 22nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron consumed alcohol while under the age of 21 and operated a vehicle while drunk. He received an immediate reduction to Airman, 45 days extra duty, and a reprimand.

- A Staff Sergeant from the 22nd Security Forces Squadron was disorderly in that he participated in an attack upon a civilian, which resulted in injury. He received an immediate reduction to Senior Airman, suspended forfeitures of $1,109.00 pay per month for two months, and a reprimand.

- An Airman 1st Class from the 22nd Logistics Readiness Squadron operated a vehicle while drunk. He received a suspended reduction to Airman, 15 days extra duty, and a reprimand.

- A Staff Sergeant from the 344th Air Refueling Squadron negligently failed to follow technical orders and failed to obey a lawful order issued by his superior. He received a suspended reduction to Senior Airman and forfeitures of $140.00 pay per month for two months.

- A Technical Sergeant from the 22nd Security Forces Squadron assaulted a civilian. He received an immediate reduction to Staff Sergeant and a reprimand.

- A Captain from the 22nd Operations Support Squadron fraternized with an enlisted member. He received forfeitures of $1,000 pay per month for two months, suspended forfeitures of $1,361.00 pay per month for two months, and a reprimand.
