Kevin Smith 22nd Force Support Squadron customer support service MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- Important updates and changes are coming to the identification system. The one affecting customers the most will be the need for two forms of ID when either renewing or applying for a new card. Everyone being issued common access cards or other forms of identification cards, including family members and retirees must present two forms of identification, beginning Sept. 25. At least one of the two IDs must have a photograph and be from "Group A". DOD's Defense Manpower Data Center is mandating the new requirement. The computer software requires two forms of ID to be scanned before it will issue a new card. Group A, which is a picture ID, acceptable forms of ID are: · Military dependent ID. · Valid documentation from Immigration and Naturalization Service office with photo. · Driver's license or ID card issued by federal, state or local government agencies or entities. · U.S. Passport. · U.S. Coast Guard, Merchant Mariner card. · School ID with photo. · Sponsor DOD ID card. · Immigration naturalization Service card. Group B, which is a non-picture ID, acceptable forms of ID are: · Certificate of citizenship or naturalization. · Foreign passport. · Voter registration card. · U.S. Social Security card. · Certification of Birth Abroad. · Unexpired refugee travel document. · Original or certified copy of a birth certificate. · Native American tribal document. · Daycare or nursery school record. · Clinic, doctor or hospital record. · School record or report card. · Canadian Driver's License. · Foreign National ID/w photo.
