The 22nd Mission Support Squadron Airman and Family Readiness Center and the 22nd Services Squadron Family Member Programs Flight hosted the 10th annual Family Festival of Fun at the Robert J. Dole Center, April 19.

With more than 200 volunteers, 15 sponsors, seven special-guest entertainers, support from 16 base agencies, a petting zoo and the McConnell Players, a base drama club, the event was a success filled with fun, food, and prizes for all ages.

"We appreciate the volunteers; it's because of them that we were able to make this happen," said Mary Reece, 22nd Mission Support Squadron, family member program flight chief.

The festival offered approximately 2,500 Team McConnell members a chance to spend time with family and friends and relax while visiting different booths, playing games, or just enjoying a free lunch.

Every year April is the Month of the Military Child, and to honor military children's sacrifices McConnell celebrates them with the Family Festival of Fun, said Ms. Reece.

"What a great time, can't wait to see what the next 10 years have in store," said Fe Vorderlandwehr, 22nd Services Squadron, marketing director.
