Another yearly Combined Federal Campaign at McConnell came to an end Nov. 16. The McConnell community put forth the effort to show how generous it was this year by exceeding its goal of raising $114,000 by 107 percent.

The total amount McConnell raised this was $122,963.84 with 100 percent of the base contacted.

The CFC promotes and supports donations, time and effort for charitable organizations and allows those organizations to urge contributions from federal government employees.

"I'm thankful for Team McConnell's impressive results," said Col. Donald Halpin, 22nd Air Refueling Wing commander. "Despite having a large number of personnel deployed, we significantly increased our participation rate over recent years and exceeded our monetary goal."

"This generosity is consistent with the strong community spirit I see in everyone who serves and lives at McConnell," he said. "On behalf of those who will benefit from your generosity, thank you."

According to CFC officials, the campaign enables nearly four million federal employees and military to donate to their charity of choice, making it the largest workplace charity campaign in the US.
