MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. --  This week, we will dive into the maintenance world at the 22nd Maintenance Squadron Aerospace Group Equipment Flight. Their mission is to provide high quality support to Team McConnell's war fighting capability 24/7 by supporting aircraft flying operations, aircraft maintenance operations and limited hangar support. The 35 AGE Rangers that make up the flight perform major and minor maintenance, in addition to averaging 1,002 periodic and special inspections and 9,600 flightline equipment deliveries annually. Additionally the AGE flight provides critical emergency base support functions such as heating, security lighting and air-conditioning as required. Finally, the AGE Production Support section ensures the day-to-day functioning of 25 essential flight programs, enhancing the support to the 22nd MXS and Team McConnell.
