Chief Master Sgt. Peggy Savage, former 422nd Air Base Group chief, Royal Air Force Base, Croughton, United Kingdom arrived at McConnell July 28 for her new assignment as the command chief master sergeant of the 22nd Air Refueling Wing here.

Chief Savage has served in the Air Force for 25 years.

As she embarked her venture as command chief at McConnell, Chief Savage shared some leadership advice with Team McConnell.

What do you hope to accomplish as command chief master sergeant of the 22nd Air Refueling Wing? We touch many peoples lives each and every day, most of the time we never know just how much we impact that person by our actions or inactions. By being ourselves, respecting each other and doing what is right, we can leave a positive experience with those people we come in contact with. I hope to leave a positive impact on each and every Airman I come in contact with. Also, I want to leave McConnell a better place to work and play, for our families, our Airmen and each other.

What is the best leadership advice you have to offer? Be proud of who you are and what you do, at work or in your personal life. We are all part of the same team and we need each other.

What is the best leadership advice you have ever received? You should be having as much fun as I am. If you are not, then you must be doing something wrong. We all know life is too short not to be having fun. Also, be true to your God, your family and above all else, to yourself.
