Communications squadron highlights knowledge operator Published May 27, 2009 By Staff Sgt. Ronald Lafosse 22nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- Senior Airman Trevor Winge 22nd Communication Squadron knowledge operator Airman Winge is from Rentz, Ga., and has been in the Air Force for one year and ten months. He has served at McConnell for eight months. When he's not at work, he enjoys studying or A+ certification for computers, reading, acting with the McConnell Players, playing computer and video games and training in martial arts. What do you enjoy most about McConnell? I enjoy the fact that the base is so active with the families and the communities. Why is serving in the Air Force important to you? Serving is important to me because of the educational opportunities it provides. What would you like to accomplish during your Air Force career? I would like to achieve the rank of at least major and be a squadron commander. Who is the most positive influence in your life and why? I would have to say my parents, because life hasn't always gone the way they wanted and yet they come out on top by making the best of everything they have to work with. What would you be most proud to tell your parents? I would be proud to tell them that I have finally finished my bachelor's degree. What would you like to tell someone who is considering joining the Air Force? I would suggest to that person that they approach each and everything with a positive attitude. And hard work and dedication to professionalism and one's job will pay off in the military.
