22nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron
flight line expeditor

Tech. Sgt. Darnell is from Laurelville, Ohio, and has been in the Air Force for 12 years and 6 months. He has served at McConnell for 12 years. When he's not at work, he enjoys working on and racing cars, woodworking, and spending time with his wife, Summer, son, Colby, 6, and daughter, Laney, 4.

What do you enjoy most about McConnell?
The people I work with day in and day out.

Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
I love the fact that I'm making a difference all around the world instead of working just a typical 9 to 5 job.

What would you like to accomplish during your Air Force career?
I would like to earn a master's degree

Who is the most positive influence in your life and why?
My wife is my most positive influence. It amazes me how I can be gone 200 days or more every year and she never misses a beat.

What would you be most proud to tell your parents?
I would be proud to tell them that I have been all over the world and have been a part of numerous operations to defend our freedoms.

What would you like to tell someone who is considering joining the Air Force?
That it is a great opportunity to learn skills and receive an education for life after the military.
