22nd MXS Munitions Flight will close for inventory

MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- The 22nd Maintenance Squadron Munitions Flight will be closed for a semi-annual 100-percent stockpile munitions inventory from Feb. 29 - March 4.

The inventory is completed to validate every non-accountable asset the munitions flight has in stockpile.

"This inventory allows us to go check everything, scrub all of our assets and make sure we find any sort of discrepancy that we may not normally notice," said Senior Airman Jareth Clinard, 22nd MXS munitions controller.

Deterioration of the resources could be a problem if the munitions Airmen don't go through everything they account for, said Staff Sgt. Ryan Marrin, 22nd MXS NCO in-charge of munitions storage.
