WEATHER UPDATE: Dec 28 Extended Delayed Reporting

MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kansas -- FOR THE CURRENT WEATHER EVENT DATED DECEMBER 28 THE INSTALLATION COMMANDER DIRECTS THE FOLLOWING:

LATE REPORTING: Non-emergency essential personnel are normally authorized to delay reporting to work up to FIVE hours from their normal scheduled work start time. Personnel deemed emergency essential should report to work as scheduled and exercise extreme caution when reporting. Non-emergency essential personnel may be required to report for duty at their normal times when directed by their Chain of Command. Additional delays may be directed by commanders due to road hazards and/or safety concerns. When in doubt, please contact your chain of command for specific directions

McConnell AFB road conditions are currently in a degraded status, meaning drivers should travel at half the posted speeds on base and use extreme caution.
