The 2015 Combined Federal Campaign will begin Oct. 5 and run through Nov. 5.

The campaign was established in the early 1960s to promote and support philanthropy. The organization works on behalf of health and human welfare charitable organizations and allows federal employees the opportunity to donate to more than 2,000 non-profit organizations.

"Our main number one goal is 100 percent contact with members including deployed individuals," said Capt. Chelsie Fowler, 22nd Aerospace Medicine Squadron interim flight commander. "It's for a great cause. You get to donate to whatever organization you believe in that has affected you or someone in your life in a positive way."

McConnell's CFC representatives are hoping to exceed the 2013 year contributions of $85,000.
The CFC is one of only two organizations authorized to solicit federal employees in the workplace.

"We have a book that displays all the organizations," said Fowler. "There's local, national and international. Individuals will be able to see a difference their donations make within the local community."

Supporters can make donations through military payroll deductions, by cash or check.
