McConnell to host 2015 Education/Information Fair Published Sept. 24, 2015 By Airman Jenna K. Caldwell 22nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- The 2015 Education/Information Fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 29, in the Robert J. Dole Community Center Ballroom. The education fair offers Airmen, family members and Department of Defense civilians information opportunities and requirements necessary for academic planning and success. The McConnell Education Center currently has more than 40 education organizations scheduled to attend to include on and off-base intuitions ranging from numerous colleges and universities to local support agencies. Each organization will present programs offered and educational information as well as provide support for individuals looking to complete their Community College of the Air Force or personal degree. "You really need education to get a step up in any job," said Jamie Hembrough 22nd Force Support Squadron education services specialist. "This event opens up the window of opportunity for Airmen that they may not normally be able to access." In depth information on programs such as tuition assistance, the GI Bill, College Level Examination Program testing and online classes will be available for those who are interested.
