Caldwell 22nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- The 22nd Air Refueling Wing chapel staff is hosting an Airmen resiliency event Oct. 1, starting at 5 p.m. at the base chapel. The event will include a free, catered dinner and a religious concert to promote Airmen resiliency. "We do these events every quarter to help build resiliency within the McConnell community," said Staff Sgt. Byron Edwards, 22nd ARW Chapel program support NCO in charge. "We're promoting the spiritual health and wellness for those assigned here." The chapel has 50 tickets available to the Third Day concert, as part of their Lead Us Back Tour of 2015. The dinner is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. at the base chapel followed by the concert at 7 p.m. at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Wichita, Kan. The chapel will provide transportation to and from the concert for participants. The chapel-sponsored event is aimed at single, junior enlisted Airmen, but tickets are available to all Team McConnell. "It's a great way to relax and have fun, get up, get to know others and help network with folks as we journey through life together," said Chap. (Capt.) Wesley Sneed, 22nd ARW chaplain.
