A job fair was held in the Robert J. Dole Community Center at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas on March 11.

The Airmen and Family Readiness Center brought together more than 80 different employers to help Airmen, retirees, and dependents who are in search of a full or part time job.

"The job fair is a chance for employers to see our members and the potential that is here," said Dong Kim, 22nd Force Support Squadron community readiness consultant. "It gives members, a chance to get face time with the human resource managers from the companies that come out."

Participants had the opportunity to hand out their resumes and possibly have an on the spot interview with employers.

"Once a year we do this to help with the job search progress," added Kim. "The main goal is for us to help our members find some kind of employment."

Each year the event attracts more employers, with this year's being one of the more successful ones.

"It's just phenomenal," said Maryann Barry, 22nd FSS community readiness consultant. "Seeing Airmen who attended our Transition Assistance Program come to the job fair well dressed with their resumes and potentially get hired is a win-win for us."
