The wing established a new online program, eCheckup To Go, that is now available to the McConnell Air Force Base community.

The new program gathers information through a series of questions that determines and analyzes both the user's alcohol and spending habits.

"At the very end it will compile all the data that you gave and it will tell you your average blood alcohol level," said Staff Sgt. Christina Begeal, 22nd Air Refueling Wing community support coordinator administrator and wing diversity lead.

The program also uses graphs and diagrams to provide users with a visual of their alcohol risk level, a breakdown of where money is being spent and even calories that are being taken in.

After testing the program out for herself, Begeal said that she was shocked by the results. Little did she know that the amount of calories she was consuming in two margaritas was about the same as the calories in three cheeseburgers.

"If you ever wondered what consuming alcohol on a regular basis is doing to you, you can now have an answer in under 15 minutes and it's tailored just for you," said Ronald Draper, 22nd Air Refueling Wing community support coordinator. "This interactive program will cause you to look at your alcohol consumption differently and help you better evaluate relationships, finances, and the calories you put into your body, just to name a few."

Although eCheckup asks questions that users may be hesitant to answer honestly, Begeal assures that the results are 100 percent anonymous.

"I know a lot of people are scared that we can track who you are," said Begeal. "We cannot. There is no way."

Tech. Sgt. Seth Allen, 22nd Maintenance Group group security manager, participated in the survey while it was still in trial stages.

He described the program as being user friendly and said he would absolutely recommend it to others.

"I think it is a valuable tool for measuring where we are and where we could be," said Allen.

Reducing alcohol related incidents by 75 percent in the next 24 months is a goal that the wing hopes eCheckup will help to achieve, said Draper.

"One of the top four things that our commanders are worried about are the DUI's," said Begeal. "With the DUI's, we want to be better educated on alcohol. The more we're educated, the more equipped we are to make the right decisions."
