The 22nd Maintenance Squadron collected more than 800 slabs of ribs which were donated by Dillons in partnership with the USO.

The ribs will be used to support base-wide events such as unit picnics and other morale building activities including cookouts for its swing-shift and midnight-shift members, as about half of the members make up the evening shifts.

“The 22nd MXS couldn't have imagined the result of this event would have been so great,” said Tech. Sgt. Carly Smith, 22nd MXS munitions flight NCO in-charge. “In a maintenance squadron, you often work extended hours in extreme temperatures. This really gives us an opportunity to show the members how much their hard work means. Not just to their leadership, but to the community as a whole.”
