Shooting near McConnell AFB: One Airman deceased

One Airman was killed and three others were injured during an off-base altercation early this morning.

“Team McConnell is deeply saddened by the loss of one of our Airmen,” said Col. Richard Tanner, 22nd Air Refueling Wing Commander. “We come together as a community to support our families and all those affected by this tragic incident.”

The name of the deceased is being withheld until 24 hours after next of kin notification.

UPDATE: Airman 1st Class Chancelor Jamar Williams, 20, of Spartanburg, S.C., was pronounced dead upon arrival by medical personnel.
