Vehicle accident near McConnell: One Airman deceased

MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. – One Airman was killed and another injured July 28 in a car accident near El Dorado Lake, Kansas.
Staff Sgt. Alex J. Lafortuneluna, 28, of Antioch, Illinois, assigned to the 22nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, was pronounced dead upon arrival by medical personnel just after 11 p.m.
The Butler County Sheriff’s office is investigating the incident.
