As part of Team McConnell’s efforts to ensure the safety and health of its members, new guidelines have been implemented base-wide to promote health protection of its members. Touch-free ID scanning, which has been effective since March 14, 2020, requires all members accessing the installation to display their ID for entry controllers to verify. Airman 1st Class Henry Kosmicki, 373rd Training Squadron Detachment 8 student, eats lunch at the Chisholm Trails Inn Dining Facility March 18, 2020, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. In efforts to support social distancing, the dining facility has decreased its maximum seating capacity to 37 seats. Personnel eligible to enter the facility has also been limited to three categories: uniformed service members, meal card holders and emergency services personnel.
