Team McConnell (Airpower!!!),

This week, Col. Jamie Crowhurst and Chief Master Sgt. Michael Edwards attended the 18 AF Conference in San Antonio.

Here is some information for next week's important events. Tuesday is a promotion ceremony at the Dole Center. On Wednesday, we will prepare ourselves for the Open House as we practice a mass accident response exercise focused on the upcoming air show (MARE 10-04). Hey, Friday is an AMC Family Day leading up to the Labor Day holiday!

Please keep in mind that the next two weekends close out the Critical Days of Summer. Historically, during this period AF members are at a higher risk for mishaps while engaging in last minute seasonal activities. I encourage you to have fun with your families, but use good Risk Management. Avoid the easy distracters, such as texting and driving. If you are engaging in high risk activities or are traveling, take the necessary steps to ensure you get back to us safely! You are the AF's most valuable resource and we need you!

This weekend, Derby is putting on a "Summer Fest" to promote Healthy Lifestyles. There will be many activities as well as fireworks. Those details are below, as well as some other upcoming events.

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend! Thanks for all that you do every single day!

Col Lamberth
Vice Commander
