Last night ALS class 10-E graduated and it was an outstanding ceremony. Col Archie Frye, 931 ARG/CC, was the guest speaker and he shared the story of a motivational staff sergeant who changed his life when he was young airmen. Senior Airman Dustin Bordelon, 22nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, won the Levitow award but said it was truly a team award that all 23 of his classmates helped him earn. He also thanked his wife Vanessa for her support and challenged his classmates to step out of their comfort zones to help make their duty sections better. The entire evening inspired me and made me proud to serve with such a great team.

During my commander's calls on Wednesday I shared a video of one of our inspiring teammates who was featured on a Channel 10 news clip last weekend. Staff Sgt. Eric Farley is in our EOD flight and if you missed commander's call here's some links to hear his story: KAKE interview or Sergeant Farley article . He will also be recognized as a Hometown Hero before the Wichita Wingnuts game Saturday night.

At the commander's calls, several of you asked questions and we'll post answers on our Public Website www.mcconnell.af.mil and our Facebook page sometime later today. Also, at the end of today as you get ready for another safe weekend, please come out to Boss and Buddy and enjoy the club's first ever Grill your own Steak Night (details below as well as a look ahead to next week).

Thanks for your service,

Col C
