Community College of the Air Force Spring 2009 Graduation Published April 29, 2009 MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- The Spring 2009 Community College of the Air Force and Pitsenbarger Award Ceremony is scheduled to be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Robert J. Dole Community Center ballroom. Sixty-five McConnell students will be recognized for completion of an educational goal. Colonel James C. Vechery, 22nd Air Refueling Wing commander, will present the diploma recognizing each student's educational achievement, personal development and leadership qualities. Each student has completed a total of 64 semester hours, which included Math, English, Social Science, Humanities, Speech, Management and Technical courses through military studies or college classes while serving on active duty. Two Pitsenbarger Scholarship Awards for $400 from the Aerospace Education Foundation and a plaque sponsored by the Air Force Sergeants Association will be given to two qualified Air Force enlisted member to encourage continuing education.
