Johnny Vinson, 22nd Medical Support Squadron, explains to honorary commanders, how PharmAssist, the new automated pharmacy prescription refilling machine, improves the pharmacy inventory management. The group of honorary commanders where given a tour of the medical group facilities July 31. The honorary commanders learned how the robotic re-filler brings cost savings and reduced the workload of clinic staff member enabling the clinic to focus more on patient care. MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- Airman 1st Class Robyn Matthew, 22nd Aeromedical-Dental Squadron, helps Claudio Ferraro, vice president of strategic planning and marketing at Via Christi Hospital and 22nd Medical Group honorary commander put on a gas mask July 31. Honorary commanders visited McConnell to gain a better understanding of how the medical group operates and provides service to approximately 400-500 active duty, reserve and retired military members and their families on a daily basis.
