Airmen from the 22nd Operations Support Squadron airfield management flight coordinate flight plans, maintain publications for pilots, monitor aircraft that land at McConnell and perform lighting and runway checks.

Airfield management personnel oversee McConnell's 654 acre airfield and ensure all the pavement, markings and lighting are within limits set by Air Force regulations.  The flight also acts as secondary responders for the removal of wildlife on or near airfields to help reduce aircraft mishaps and loss of life.
