Ronald Lafosse 22nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- This past weekend Airman 1st Class Moses Tum, 22nd Comptroller Squadron, became the first to win the 10k and 2-mile River Run races in the same year. Airman Tum is from Colorado Springs, Colo., and has been in the Air Force for nine months. He has served at McConnell for seven months. When he's not at work, he enjoys traveling, working out at the gym and running middle to long distance events. How long have you been running? I have been running for seven years. What organizations have your run for? I have run for the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, Colo. What does your training regiment encompass? My training regiment consists of long runs for endurance, speed work for speed and weight lifting for upper body strength. How does it feel to be the first person to win both River Run races in the same year? It feels good because it shows that I am doing the right training. Do you plan on running in the Wichita Marathon? I haven't decided on that yet because marathon training is a whole lot different. Right now I am focused mostly on road racing, 5k and 10k races, and also representing the Air Force at the World Military Games that will be held next month in Sofia, Bulgaria.
