As a spotlight performer, individuals are chosen by leadership for demonstrating the Air Force's Core Values: Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do.

Airman 1st Class Justine Froude, 22nd Medical Operations Squadron family health medical technician, received the spotlight performer for the week of Feb. 15 - 19.

Froude has excelled at work,  from upgrade training to volunteering on many occasions to improve her work environment and the local community.

"Since Froude's arrival, she has been very active within the group's professional development program and has pursued multiple volunteer opportunities within the wing," said Staff Sgt. Megan Thomas, 22nd MDOS family health medical technician. "Recently she has taken over as a council member on the Medical Airmen's Council and has organized three opportunities for our Airmen to get out and involved. She is also an active volunteer at the base tax center helping Airmen complete their taxes. [While] continuing to excel in her upgrade training, earning 93 percent on her most recent end-of-course exam."

Froude, a Kansas City, Missouri native, joined the Air Force in July 2014 and arrived at McConnell in April 2015. Her hobbies include staying active, fishing and playing video games.

Who is the most positive influence in your life and why?
My most positive influence is my older sister, Jenessa. She has always been my role model since I was little and continues to encourage me today.

If you could give advice to a new Airman, what would it be and why?
Stay positive, volunteer, and meet new people. Building a solid foundation will benefit you in more ways than you know.

What is one goal that you have already accomplished, or would like to accomplish, during your Air Force career?
One goal I would like to accomplish in the near future would be earning senior airman below the zone.

Where is the most interesting place you have traveled and why do you feel that way?
The most interesting place I have traveled to would be Colorado. I was surprised at how easily intrigued I became after seeing mountains for the first time.

If you had the opportunity to meet anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
I would love to meet Jim Carrey. He has remained my favorite actor for many years with his nonchalant demeanor and charismatic personality.
