A recent commander's call chaired by Col. Ricky Rupp, 22nd Air Refueling Wing commander unveiled the 2012 vision of the Air Force's premier tanker wing.

"One word can be used to describe today's commander's call ... motivating," said Airman 1st Class Nickolas Neveu, 22nd Communications Squadron client systems technician.

Rupp identified with the wing's Airmen with three main points: "Who Am I, What I Believe, I'm here to Support You!" The briefing was not only informative for those who attended, it also provided Airmen with his vision as the commander of the 22nd ARW.

His overall intent is to continue as Air Mobility Command's premier global reach wing. To accomplish that he encouraged each Airman to foster a culture of excellence, develop the next generation of leaders and set and achieve goals.

He capitalized on the audience's attention by reiterating "What we do matters!" and he gave one final order, "Thank your family for me because the wing cannot do the mission without them."

The mission at McConnell is ... "deliver total force mission ready Airmen and KC-135 mobility to combatant commanders through robust installation support ... anytime, anywhere!"
