As a spotlight performer, individuals are chosen by leadership for demonstrating one or more of the 22nd Air Refueling Wing commander' s intents: Foster a culture of excellence ... Develop the next generation of leaders ... Set and achieve goals.

Airman 1st Class Destin Ardoin, 22nd Security Forces Squadron entry controller, was chosen as the 22nd ARW spotlight performer for the week of May 6 to 10.

"Since arriving to McConnell AFB in December 2012 Ardoin has proven he can achieve any goal," said Ken Chrapkowski, 22nd SFS deputy security officer.

Ardoin was one of four Airmen first class selected out of 33 to be part of the 22nd SFS 2013 Nuclear Operational Readiness Inspection Generation Team due to his outstanding professionalism and can-do attitude.

"That attitude garnered team recognition from the Air Mobility Command Inspector General Team," said Chrapkowski. "Ardoin epitomizes our Air Force's core values and is a model security forces Airman."

Who is the most positive influence in your life and why?
The most positive influence in my life would be my father. He has had many experiences to pass on to me that make me a better person.

If you could give advice to a new Airman, what would it be and why?
My advice to a new Airman would be to not only finish but exceed both your personal goals and those set for you by the Air Force.

What is one goal that you have already accomplished, or would like to accomplish, during your Air Force career?
It is important to me to be recognized as an asset to the Air Force. A goal I would like to accomplish would be to reach the rank of senior Airman below-the-zone; down the line I would like to be a commissioned officer and surpass my grandfather in rank.

Where is the most interesting place you have traveled and why do you feel that way?
The most interesting place I have traveled to would be Washington, D.C., because the political power has left a strong impression on me.

If you had the opportunity to meet anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
The Air Force has already given me the opportunity to meet a lot of great people, but in particular I would like to meet would be President Barrack Obama.
