As a spotlight performer, individuals are chosen by leadership for demonstrating one or more of the 22nd Air Refueling Wing commander's intents: Foster a culture of excellence ... Develop the next generation of leaders ... Set and achieve goals.

Tech. Sgt. Chad Pease, 22nd Medical Operations Squadron aerospace medical technician, was chosen as the spotlight performer for the week of Feb. 11 to 15, 2013. He has been at McConnell AFB with his wife and two daughters for eight months.

The San Francisco, Calif., native has been in the Air Force for 12 years and enjoys fishing, swimming and working in his yard.

As an aerospace medical technician, Pease is responsible for the interim operations flight and the family health patient centered medical home team, which allows patients to visit the same doctor at every visit.

"Pease is an outstanding NCO and he gets along well with everybody," said Maj. Lela Hudson, 22nd MDOS medical services flight commander. "He's had an immediate impact on the office."

Who is the most positive influence in your life and why?
My mother is the most positive influence in my life. She is solely responsible for my values and character.

If you could give advice to a new Airman, what would it be and why?
My advice to new Airmen would be to remain objective, listen to and deliberate your intuition, and use anything and everything to forge who you are. Whether you are here for one year or here for 30, it is simply a small chapter in a much larger story. Make the absolute best of it.

What is one goal that you have already accomplished, or would like to accomplish, during your Air Force career?
The goal I would like to accomplish is to make the rank of master sergeant, and complete 20 years of service.

Where is the most interesting place you have traveled and why do you feel that way?
The most interesting place I've ever been to is Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is a place with drastically different social norms.

If you have the opportunity to meet anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
I would like to have a beer with Jack Nicholson because I have always been curious to know what type of man he really is.
