Staff Sgt. Ismael Hernandez, 22nd Maintenance Group quality assurance inspector, has been in the Air Force for 10 years. When the Eagle Lake, Texas, native has time off, he enjoys barbequing and spending time with his wife and children.

Who is the most positive influence in your life and why?
The most positive influence in my life is my father. He has always taught me to work hard for what I want.

What would you like to accomplish during your Air Force career?
I would like to be a master sergeant by time I reach 20 years.

Where is the most interesting place you have traveled and why do you feel that way?
The most interesting place I have been is Spain. I enjoyed Spain because I met many new friends and understood where my ancestors came from.

What is your favorite book/ movie and why?
My favorite book is "Wiseguy" by Nicholas Pileggi. It was based on some true events.

If you have the opportunity to meet anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
If I could meet anyone in the world, it would be Vicente Fernandez, a Mexican singer. He enjoys entertaining his fans when he sings and is also very humble.
