22nd Operations Support Squadron members earns spotlight performer

Staff Sgt. James Klusener, 22nd Operations Support Squadron weather forecaster, has been in the Air Force more than 11 years. He has been stationed at McConnell for almost one year. Sergeant Klusener's hobbies include hunting, fishing, hiking, boating and riding horses.

Who is the most positive influence in your life and why?
The most positive influence in my life is absolutely my father. He is an incredible role model who is honest, caring and always there for his family. He is everything that I strive to be.

What would you like to accomplish during your Air Force career?
I'm on my last class for my Community College of the Air Force degree, and would like to complete my bachelors as well.

Where is the most interesting place you have traveled and why do you feel that way?
Afghanistan is definitely the most interesting place I have traveled to. Not the most pleasant place in the world, but it was a great experience to contribute to today's fight. I was also surrounded by great people the entire time.

What is your favorite book/ movie and why?
My favorite book is "Lonesome Dove" because I love the way it's written and how real the characters are.

If you have the opportunity to meet anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
Colin Powell is the person I would meet. I've always had a lot of respect for the way he handles himself and the decisions he has made.
