Tech Sgt. Clay Dotson has served in the Air Force for 16 years. He has been stationed at McConnell for six years. His hobbies include volunteering for his church, politics, flying, auto-mechanics, working outdoors and barbecuing.

Who is the most positive influence in your life and why?
My wife Tamara is the most influential person because she comes from a military family and understands the commitment I have as an Air Force member to deploy and serve. She is also a great Christian, mother, wife and has been my greatest supporter.

What would you like to accomplish during your Air Force career?
I would like to complete my Course 9 at the NCO Academy and make senior master sergeant before I retire.

Where is the most interesting place you have traveled to and why do you feel that way?
The most interesting place I have travelled to was Turkey because I saw a lot of historical sites.

What is your favorite book/ movie and why?
I am currently reading "The Constitution, George Washington's Sacred Fire & Liberty and Tyranny." One must learn from history, as John Adams stated, "I must study politics and war so that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy." Our founding fathers had it right from the beginning when they founded our nation. This book has allowed me to study what made these men great, their character and their dependence upon God.

If you have the opportunity to meet anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
Our 40th president, Ronald Reagan. He believed that America is a Christian nation, and believed in American exceptionalism. He also believed that socialism and communism were a threat to personal liberty and that tyranny must be confronted. He inspired a generation to defend freedom.
