MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. --  Patrick Butler is a Navy veteran and has been working at McConnell for six years. His hobbies include cooking and making home improvements.

Who is the most positive influence in your life and why?
The most positive influence in my life is my wife, Beryl. She keeps my attitude positive and makes life enjoyable.

What would you like to accomplish during your Air Force career?
I would like to retire at the age of 73.

Where is the most interesting place you have traveled, and why do you feel that way?
The most interesting place I've been is Viet Nam. There is nothing better at getting your attention than a 122 mm rocket.

What is your favorite book/movie and why?
My favorite movie is "It's a Wonderful Life." The concept is: the relatively small struggles and accomplishments in our lives can make the world a better place.

If you had the opportunity to meet anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
I would like to meet President Barack Obama. I would like to tell him that he is doing a good job, he needs to ignore the criticism and do what he believes is right.
